Tong Fuk Beach is a beach on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. and one of Hong Kong’s most popular tourist destinations. There is the famous Hong Kong-style tea restaurant Debao Restaurant, and Hong Kong-style delicacies are available throughout the village. For the evenings there is The Gallery, a western restaurant and bar that is very popular.

Tong Fuk Beach is located in the south of Tong Fuk, and the fantastic landscape is an attraction for tourists and visitors coming from other parts of Hong Kong to swim. From Tong Fuk Beach the two islands of Cha Kwo Chau and Shek Kwu Chau are visible.

The black volcanic sand on the beach is a bit of a rarity in Hong Kong,  and whilst the water off Tong Fuk Beach is relatively shallow, the current can be strong and quite fast, not great for beginner swimmers but it’s a wonderful place to surf and attracts surfers from all over. The beach has changing rooms, toilets, showers and other facilities, it’s very comfortable for families.
